Most of us wouldn’t dare come between a mother lion and her cubs, but South African animal behaviorist Kevin Richardson isn’t most people. He enjoys a special bond with the lions living in his private animal reserve, and is accepted as part of the pride.
In this video we see him interacting with the mother lion and her cubs. Mama is more affectionate than any house cat I’ve seen, licking Kevin with her big tongue and even cuddling him.
Clearly she trusts him, so much so that when he picks up her cubs she barely bats an eye. Wouldn’t you just love to trade places with him?
