May 27th, 2009 at 2:30 amI just want to point out that the Star Trek: Remastered project was made before any footage was released of the new movie, or even the initial promo stuff started. So saying that they made it just to cash in on the new movie is a little silly. :P The remastered versions are actually quite good- much better than watching the old scratchy VHS, and I do enjoy the new effects.
As for the lens flares, they don’t bother me at all, nor does the shaky-cam. To each his own, I suppose.
