I generally despise those videos that offer nothing more than static images and terrible music. But this one made me laugh so hard that I had to make an exception.

The premise is simple. Dave Thorne of Adelaide, Australia, had an overdue bill from his utilities company. Being a typical larrikin, and a broke one at that, he attempted to settle the bill using a drawing of a spider.

This video shows the e-mail conversation that followed. I applaud Dave’s commitment, and the utility company’s patience!

If it’s a letdown for you that the company wouldn’t accept the spider picture as payment, don’t fret. I hear he made a packet flogging the very same drawing on eBay!
