You will no doubt have already heard about Sarah Palin, the Governor of Alaska, having a run-in with David Letterman, late-night talk show host and funnyman, about a couple of jokes he made in her direction last week.

If not, here is the video of Letterman talking about the jokes, why he made them, and who they were really directed at. On Friday, Palin had her right to reply in an interview with Matt Lauer on The Today Show.

Palin seizes the chance to further berate and attack Letterman for the jokes which caused such a storm, at least in the Palin household (the rest of us just laughed). Lauer plays devils’ advocate throughout but Palin is like a bulldog that’s got hold a bone and won’t let go.

The problem with the whole sorry mess is that Palin has managed to turn comedy into a political vendetta against the liberal media. Which is a bunch of hooey in my opinion. I just hope Middle America is intelligent enough to see through this attempt at scoring political points.
