Here’s one company that expects viewers to turn to the internet as a primary source of video entertainment.

Hobnox has recently started an interactive video channel called “Music Intelligence 145″ that features original music shows, interviews, and documentaries.

You might recognize some of the names popping up all over the site: Henry Rollins, Sarah Silverman, Patrick Wolf, Jimmy Kimmel, and…oh yeah Jimi Hendrix.

Jimi Hendrix’s ‘American Landing’ Trailer

Here’s the trailer for the ‘hypershow’ documentary titled “American Landing: Jimi Hendrix Live at Monterey”. It’s about Jimi Hendrix’s performance at the Monterey Pop Festival and how his trip to America impacted the music industry.

What’s a ‘hypershow’?

Mi145 sets itself apart from other online channels by offering ‘hypershows’ or interactive shows. It allows you to watch related mini-videos about the program you’re watching, while you’re watching it. This allows you to see “the story behind the story”.

Icons like the one shown on the right will appear occasionally. You may click it to see additional relevant video about the show you are currently watching like extra features on a DVD.

As the host Henry Rollins says, “I want a music channel that can make me sit down, shut me up, tell me 10 things I don’t already know, and make me laugh.”

And that’s exactly what Mi145 is.
