You all remember the big hoohah at the turn of the Millennium right? You know, when some people thought the world was going to end due to the Y2K bug and computers everywhere failing to recognize the difference between 1999 and 2000.
That didn’t happen but now, nine years later, the Z2K9 bug has hit with vengeance, and everyone who owns 30Gb Microsoft Zunes are being hit hard. Apparently, overnight, Zunes everywhere have mysteriously frozen.
This video shows some guy discussing the Zune freezing problems and he makes a good point regarding how Microsoft has already messed up with Vista and the Xbox 360 ‘Red Ring of Death’. The Zune was clearly only a matter of time.
This issue could just be a simple software glitch and it could just affect Zunes with the latest firmware upgrade. But at the moment, Microsoft isn’t sure. Which is most reassuring, obviously.
