Minority Report Finger Tracking By T-Online At CeBIT 2008 | The Future Is Already Here

When I saw the film Minority Report, I was most impressed. Not with the plot necessarily, and certainly not Tom Cruise’s performance, but the technology? Oh yes.

When Cruise was searching for the location of the future crime scene, and hence the killer, he used his hands and fingers to manipulate images on his computer screen.

This type of technology is already being utilised, with the Apple iPhone, as well as by a clever use of the Wii sensor bar and some geekery.

But this video shows almost exactly the same technology on display at the T-Online booth at CeBIT 2008. The visitors love it, and so do I. Please make it become the norm!
