This PBS documentary takes a look at the so-called best medical system in the world.

When it comes to the US medical system, I get very angry. I’ve experienced all sides – being insured, being suddenly uninsured, being asked straight up what my insurance is as well as experiencing socialized health care.

Sure, the insured of the US will say it’s the best medical care.

However, a medical system should not be about how well-treated the well-off are; it should be about how the people who can barely afford food or shelter are treated.

As I well know, the people who can’t afford insurance in the States can’t afford to get sick. Period.
