This is one of the most moving videos I’ve seen in some time. Jonah, a student about to start grade eight, tells us of the bullying he’s been subjected to for years through a series of signs.
His words aren’t always spelled correctly, but that does nothing to diminish their power. He tells us of his history of cutting and the times he’s considered suicide. When he feels so many people hate him, including Jonah himself, it’s not hard to see why.
But ultimately this is a story of hope. Through his tears Jonah assures us he won’t give up or give in, because he’s got a million reasons to live. Thank goodness this kid has such perspective. Hopefully by sharing he can make others in the same situation feel a little less alone.
