This video shows the trailer for Revolution, a new sci-fi series from NBC. It tells the story of what happens after technology stops working, forcing humanity to live a simpler life.
I can’t say I’m all that impressed so far, with the trailer leaving me cold. The whole concept is preposterous and unbelievable, and if a show wants to explore what life is like without electricity, just set it in the past, before, you know, it was invented.
It strikes me as if the storyline would make for a better film, detailing what happened in the years after the world blacked out. But an ongoing television series? I’m not so sure.
Even if I was really keen on Revolution, I’ve been put off getting into shows such as this by the network’s habit of canceling them after one season. So I’ll be passing on this one.
