I can’t quite believe it but Beavis and Butthead are back, with a new series airing on MTV. They’ve been off our screens since 1997, and that’s far too long for this comedic duo of ne’er do wells.
This video shows a preview of Holy Cornholio, an upcoming episode from series 8. Beavis and Butthead returned to our TVs with new episodes on Oct. 27, 2011. And not before time.
I really hope a new generation gets into Beavis and Butthead the way my generation did. The show originally aired between 1993 and 1997, when I was aged 16-20, so I was slap-bang in the target demographic.
The question is whether the world has moved on? I’ve got a sneaking suspicion that most viewers tuning into the new episodes of Beavis and Butthead will be my generation reliving their youth. Still, that’s better than nothing.
