You know the American music industry is in trouble when the closing act for the 2010 AMAs is a mashup of two boybands who stopped being relevant at least a decade ago.
No, you’re not seeing things, that is actually New Kids on The Block and Backstreet Boys performing a mashup of their hits on stage during the 2010 American Music Awards. truly bizarre.
The two old boybands (or manbands, more accurately) are heading out on a joint tour next year. In which case I suggest they take singing lessons because they seem to have lost the capacity to hit the right note.
Having said that, I’m sure there will be some people who get a kick out of this. Mainly 30- and 40-something women who were fans back in the day and want to relive their youth. Sad, really.
