Kids have long been fascinated by ghosts and ghouls, often equally exhilarated and frightened of the invisible bogeyman that lurks in the shadows ready to come out at night-time.

This makes monsters the perfect subject matter for an animated film. The movie in question is Hotel Transylvania, and it’s out in cinemas now.

This video shows the official trailer for Hotel Transylvania. The film has been expertly crafted by Sony Pictures Animation, and tells the story of Dracula running a guest-house for all the famous and not-so-famous literary creatures.

All is well until a human decides to stay at the hotel, and promptly falls in love with Dracula’s daughter. This is very much a story about acceptance, but the moral message is coupled with bags of funny. Thankfully.
