The Martian is a new movie from director Ridley Scott. It stars Matt Damon as the titular character, an astronaut who is left behind on Mars after the rest of the crew assume him to be dead.
This video shows the first trailer for The Martian, and it does a great job of showing enough action to draw you in without giving away the whole plot.
The Martian is based on a book by Andy Weir, who originally self-published his compelling story before it was snapped up by a publisher. And now it’s a film.
Alongside Damon are Jessica Chastain, Kate Mara, Jeff Daniels, and Kristen Wiig, amongst others. The Martian is due to be released in November 2015.
