This video shows bus monitor Karen Klein being teased and taunted by a small group of teenagers sat near her.
It’s a very upsetting video to watch. It’s some of the worst bullying I have ever seen, with these kids goading her and openly mocking her relentlessly in the hopes she will crack. When she shows she’s vulnerable they attack even harder.
When I was a kid I was (almost) always respectful to older people or people who were placed in charge. Even on the odd occasion I wasn’t I never turned on anyone in this way. And still won’t as an adult.
This story may have a happy ending, with money having been raised for Klein, and the public scrutiny over the incident meaning not only will the kids involved be punished, others kids will hopefully be dissuaded from doing similar.
