If you’ve ever watched Animal Planet and found it boring as hell, then you might like TBS’s new web series ‘Our Massive Planet.’ The show, which was originally a Podcast, is narrated by the hilarious comedian Jim Gaffigan. Here’s his explanation of how the show works:

“I basically provide the insight and the answers to someone who doesn’t have Google.”

Jim Gaffigan & Jordan Rubin both claim that the show has been going on for over 20 years, and more recently it was optioned by TBS. However, this hasn’t had any effect on the qualiy of the show’s production. Although the footage of the animals is professionally shot, the rest seems like it was edited by an 8th grader.

Each 1-3 minute webisode focuses on a new animal and answers the most important questions you would have about them. For example, “What is the correct way of petting a dog?” Clearly these guys are full of shit.

Our Massive Planet: Introduction

This is the very short intro/first webisode of ‘Our Massive Planet’ where Jim is introduced as a biologist, animologist, and environmentalist who has a degree in Animalistic Research. Right off the bat, you can tell how serious this show is going to be.
