When it comes to creating art from food and other unlikely mediums, Phil Hansen is the man. Here he’s turned his talents to human train wreck, Amy Winehouse.
Considering her surname and love of mind-altering substances, it’s fitting that Phil Hansen’s rendered Amy out of frozen red and white wine. I guess a whole load of cocaine would have been a little more appropriate, but probably a bit harder to explain to the police.
As always, the finished piece is stunning. And watching Amy’s face melt away is a wonderful metaphor for the way her life is heading. Clever stuff!
