Johnny Depp is back with more swashbuckling adventures on the High Seas in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
We’re told that the new movie should be considered a standalone piece of work, rather than part of the original Pirates trilogy. That might just be a good thing too, because those final two movies were feeling a bit labored.
I am optimistic about this one though, as Depp and Geoffrey Rush were the best elements of the original trilogy. Ian McShane is another great addition this time around. Penelope Cruz has her work cut out for her if she hopes to keep up!
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides hits cinemas everywhere next May.
