When we last saw Pomplamoose they were covering Beyonce’s pop hit “Single Ladies.” Now the Californian indie duo has set its sights on the next big dance smash, Lady Gaga’s “Telephone.”
Pomplamoose play it relatively straight here, although the injection of their quirky, jazz-laden style seems like an improvement for me. Gaga’s legions of fans may disagree, but I also think singer Nataly Dawn is head and shoulders above the original vocal.
With the film clip of “Telephone” causing so much controversy with its violence, nudity, and lesbian kissing scenes, perhaps the music video television shows should just play this video instead!
