The excitement of Barack Obama being elected President and then being inaugurated as the 44th President of the USA is over, and the hard work has begun in earnest. The next few months will determine whether Obama really is the man to lead America.

This YouTube video shows Obama’s first weekly address since becoming President. The weekly address used to be a radio phenomenon but is now firmly entrenched in online video.

Obama uses his first weekly presidential address to the nation to explain the details of his ‘American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan’, a prolonged effort to drag the country out of recession.

I really hope the faith we (even those of us outside of the U.S.) have shown in Obama is rewarded by a President who changes the world for the better. He’s started well by announcing the closure of Guantanamo Bay.
