Wow, Prince Harry isn’t the smartest cookie is he! First, he wore a Nazi uniform to a fancy dress party a few years ago, and now he’s recorded himself on video uttering two expressions that could be deemed as racist.

I say could be deemed because these so-called racist remarks have to be taken in context. Which most of the reports calling him a racist aren’t doing. I actually don’t think Prince Harry is a racist.

He does say the word “Paki” which is directed at Pakistanis (and Indians). But while it would be racist if shouted at a stranger in the street, Harry is taking about a guy he knows and who likely calls himself and his Pakistani friends “Paki”. In the same way as black people use the N word liberally, Pakistanis have reclaimed the P word.

As for “Raghead”, yes, this is an offensive term for all people of Arab persuasion but it’s widely used in the army and to expect Prince Harry not to use it when he hears it being liberally bandied around by his fellow soldiers is pathetic.

I’m defending Harry here because I don’t believe he’s a true racist. His only mistake is being thick enough to let himself be filmed while saying this stuff.
