Gangnam Style has been by far the biggest pop hit of 2012. The video broke various YouTube records, and the song itself toped charts around the world.
One of the countries that took the song and the artist responsible for it to their heart was the good ol’ U.S. of A. Unfortunately Psy hasn’t always been such a fan of the United States, and in particular its soldiers.
This video contains the full audio from one of Psy’s previous tracks. Titled Dear America it contains lyrics calling for U.S. soldiers to be killed and tortured because of what was happening in Iraq at the time.
Psy has apologized for the lyrics and the inflammatory language he used. But I’m not convinced that will appease Americans who will defend their nation above all else. The Gangnam Style gravy train may have just hit the buffers.
