Based on a novel by the same name, written by James Hilton who is narrating this opening, is touted as being one of the only amnesia films that is enjoyable as well as being one of the few films that is better than the book.

Random House takes place in 1918, where a chance meeting and the concern for a stranger leads to love, marriage and seemingly a happily ever after. However, in the true fashion of dark films of the time, there is more to the story.

I have to admit that I have never heard of this film, but I am now eager to watch it. I love classic films, especially those with a ‘dark’ touch.
