Red Hot Chili Peppers Literal Music Video | ‘Under The Bridge’ Gets Literally Remade

There are a ton of these literal music videos now kicking about on YouTube. The phenomenon began with a literal translation of Take On Me by A-Ha but has since grown almost out of control. The problem is sorting the wheat from the chaff.

I’ve watched a lot of these videos in order to bring you the best. We’ve already seen Bonnie Tyler’s Total Eclipse Of The Heart and now it’s the turn of Under The Bridge by the Red Hot Chili Peppers to get the literal makeover. Enjoy.

The trick to making a good literal music video is to sing well and in the style of the original artist, make the words fit seamlessly, and be funny. It’s tricky combination to pull off successfully but this guy does a great job.

I really like the part where Anthony Kiedis is running towards the camera, seemingly away from a nuclear bomb. The Slo-mo pec action is fantastic! Or there’s the musical interlude in the middle. Funny as hell.
