British actor Roger Moore has died at the ripe old age of 89. Moore passed away in Switzerland after a short battle with cancer.
Moore is best known for his long run playing James Bond, who he portrayed on the bigscreen between 1973 and 1985. He started with Live and Let Die and ended with A View to a Kill.
I have to admit Moore wasn’t my favorite Bond, but he was a close second Sean Connery. Moore was a great actor though, and, by all accounts, a nice guy to boot.
Moore will be mourned by millions of people around the world who knew him, not only from his turn as Bond, but also his appearances in other films and TV shows.
