I remember the 80s; Aqua Net, rolled pants, Thriller and fluorescent colors. I bet Sarah Palin remembers the 80s as well when she competed to be Miss Alaska 1984.

Here’s some video footage of the swimsuit portion, and Sarah is contestant number 8. She got first-runner up, and has since then traded in her red bathing suit for a red business suit.

What is up with John McCain’s fascination with beauty queens? Palin has been as controversial as they come, with voters doubting her abilities and pollers debating whether she is hurting or helping McCain’s campaign.

Perhaps she should have stuck to the beauty pageants?
