Honestly, this performance starts out a little bit rough. We’ve all heard on Idol the importance of song choice, and this just proves the point. But in his rendition of “Valerie” we hear the potential for greatness.
Shaheen shows composure beyond his years when Simon Cowell stops his performance and demands another song. That’s when this video really kicks into gear.
Michael Jackson’s “Who’s Loving You” sits perfectly with Shaheen’s young soulful voice. Something tells me this kid’s going to give Ms Boyle a run for her money in the finals.
