YouTuber Shane Dawson has released a video vehemently denying he’s a pedophile and apologizing for jokes he made several years ago on a podcast.
In the podcast from 2013, Dawson likened pedophilia to having a foot fetish, joked about finding a six-year-old girl sexy, and admitted to Googling “Naked Baby”.
As usual with these things, context is important. Something we seem to have forgotten in 2018. Of course Shane Dawson isn’t a pedophile. His only crime is to have made some edgy jokes.
As for his defense of pedophilia, he’s not saying it’s OK, but he is suggesting it’s a sexual predilection. Which is something most psychiatrists would agree with.
