The UK has experienced strong storms over the holidays, and they’re continuing into 2014. The high winds and heavy rain have combined to make flooding a real threat for many people.
This video shows one of the violent storms hitting Barmouth in Wales. The sea crashes over the seawall and hits the houses along the seafront.
While the storms are no laughing matter, the way these workmen try to hold the sea back with a few strategically placed sandbags is hilarious. Just give up and go home, lads, as you don’t stand a chance.
With the British Isles being an island (the clue is in the name) those who live there are used to being surrounded on all side by water, but just occasionally that water encroaches inland and affects us all in a big, bad way.
