Simon Cowell was pelted with eggs during the live final of Britain’s Got Talent. This video shows the incident as recorded on Sky Plus by a viewer, so it’s poor quality but at least shows what happened.
Cowell was the target of an egging by Natalie Holt, who was playing the viola as part of the orchestra backing opera-singing finalists Richard & Adam.
Holt apparently auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent last year but failed to win a place on the show. So this is her exacting revenge on Cowell and his cohorts.
There is speculation that the whole thing was planned for publicity, and I really wouldn’t count out such a possibility. Especially as Holt isn’t going to be charged with any offences.
