Google has introduced Bacon number to its search options. But what the hell is Six Degrees Of Kevin Bacon, and where did this silly little game originate from.
Anybody can now cheat at Six Degrees Of Kevin Bacon. You simply type an actor’s name into Google Search, and add “Bacon number” at the end. Google will then tell you that actor’s Bacon number as well as the connections.
This video is a short documentary all about Six Degrees Of Kevin Bacon, and it explains the Six Degrees Of Separation theory that the Kevin bacon game emerged from.
It turns out this theory isn’t all that strong. Most actors have a Bacon number of three or less, but around 32 are thought to have a Bacon number of eight. Still, it’s fun to play, and Google is now on board as well.
