Is Facebook listening into your conversations? Possibly, at least according to this video that recently surfaced on Reddit.
The uploader claims they have direct evidence that two days after talking about cats and cat food, he started seeing ads on Facebook for cat food. Which certainly sounds fishy.
This experiment isn’t scientific enough to be considered absolute proof. However, plenty of other people have provided anecdotal evidence of similar things happening. And not just with Facebook.
Either this is a massive coincidence, or your smartphone is actually listening into everything you say. Which, if it’s the latter, is really quite scary.
