As a fan of documentaries, I was thrilled to find out about SnagFilms. The site claims to have “the best in documentaries” and exceeds expectations.

Where else can you (legally) watch 600+ full-length documentaries online for free?

SnagFilms is led by documentary producer Ted Leonsis and former CEO of National Geographic Rick Allen. The latter of which would explain the vast amount of content available on the site. Aside from National Geographic, Palm Pictures and PBS are just a number of big name distributors involved.

Since the company recently acquired indieWIRE and added Hulu as a distribution partner, the amount of content has exploded lately. Here’s a list of some of the more noticeable documentaries:
