This video shows the Spice Girls performing during the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics. They sang Wannabe and Spice Up Your Life and pleased many of their longtime fans.
This counts as the group reforming, but it was only a one-off. They reformed a few years ago but ending up cutting their tour short for reasons as yet unexplained.
I can’t say I was all that impressed, but then I’m not a big fan of pop music. One good thing you can say about the performance is it was definitely live, unlike some of the others.
The whole closing ceremony, with its hit after hit from British music artists, was definitely worth watching though. And 300 million are thought to have tuned in on the night.
