I never thought I’d see the day when Hollywood made a sequel to Blade Runner, but that’s exactly what has happened.
Blade Runner 2047 is a direct sequel to the original, with Harrison Ford reprising his iconic role, ably assisted by Ryan Gosling, Jared Leto, Dave Bautista, Ana de Armas, and Sylvia Hoeks.
This video shows the first trailer for Blade Runner 2047, offering a brief glimpse of the visually sumptuous world director Denis Villeneuve has created.
The trailer doesn’t reveal all that much about the storyline, just giving us a taster of what’s to come. It does enough to pique my interest though, and I doubt I’m alone in that.
Blade Runner 2047 is due to be released in theaters on October 6th, 2017.
