I’ve never felt the NRA (National Rifle Association) was especially blessed with common sense, but it’s latest ad proves it once and for all.
The ad suggests that because President Obama has armed security for him and his children, he’s some kind of hypocrite for wanting to see less guns in circulation around the rest of the country.
This isn’t hypocrisy in the slightest. The POTUS has many more reasons to fear for the safety of his children than any ordinary citizen of the country, hence the difference in policy.
Anyway, those people who would like to see less guns on the street would love to see the problem solved to such an extent that even the president’s children would be safe from harm, but that’s a long way off.
