Tweenchronic – ‘Skip Rope’ Music Video | Patrice Wilson Does It Again, Unfortunately

30 sec read

This is Skip Rope by the bizarrely named Tweenchronic, which makes these little kids sound more like a brand of cannabis than a young pop duo.

Skip Rope is another opus from Patrice Wilson, the guy who wrote Friday for Rebecca Black. It’s a horrible song, obviously, but it’s also damn catchy, which is, I guess, Wilson’s particular skill.

The lyrics are stupid, inane, and repetitive, and the basis for them is the art of skipping rope. Genius. The video is no better, especially with the skit swapping drugs for candy… how we laughed at the thought!

I very much doubt this will be as big a hit as Friday was, and we should all be grateful for that. However, if Wilson is making money, and the kids are having fun, I guess we shouldn’t be too down on the whole thing.
