Super Mario Bros. Techno Track (Video) | Using A Nintendo Game As A Basis For Music

There seems to be no end to the ways in which you can use classic Nintendo games such as Super Mario Brothers to create new and exciting mash-ups.

We’ve already seen how Mario would have looked in first person, and seen a RickRoll made with Mario Paint. And now we have a brilliant blend of old school and new techno.

I can’t even begin to think how this was done but basically an old Mario game has been played at high speed and the sound effects used as the basis for a pumping dance track.

It’s clearly of Japanese origin, as is the game itself but the music is so addictive that I watched the whole thing straight through even though it’s repetitive.
