At just 37 years old, fourth place Survivor: Palau contestant Jennifer Lyon has lost her battle with breast cancer.
Lyon had been diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in 2005, when the tenth season of the show aired.
Having been personally touched by breast cancer in my family, I admire Jennifer in her bravery during treatment and her work for raising awareness as well as funds for breast cancer research.
She will certainly be missed.
My deep condolences go out to all who are affected by Jennifer’s death. There is never a ‘right’ age to pass away, but 37 is just way too young.
