Sometimes the most fun elicited from a video game isn’t what the developers had in mind when they were designing said title. In other words, simple things please simple minds.
RAGE is a mixture of Fallout and Motorstorm, with first-person shooting action interlaced with driving and racing sections. All set in a Mad Max-inspired dystopian, post-apocalyptic world.
This video shows the best thing you can do in the game: drive your ATV at speed into rocks and barriers and enjoy watching your little guy go flying. He also screams in an ear-splitting cacophony of Oooohs and Aaaahs.
I’m sure this isn’t the best thing about RAGE. The game has, in fact, received stellar reviews from a variety of sources. But who can resist the lure of a bone-crunching landing? Not me.
