The DASH Diet, the DASH standing for ‘Dietary Approaches To Stop Hypertension‘ goes very much back to basics, with an emphasis on reducing starchy foods, sugars, and fats, as well as levels of sodium.
This is no fad diet, with a change of lifestyle that’s likely to lead to longterm weight loss and verified health benefits. Unfortunately it isn’t the easiest diet to begin with.
This may be a great diet, but it won’t be for everyone. I firmly believe each individual has to find the diet that works for them.
