This is an oldie but a goodie. It’s still as funny as ever…after all, people are still pirating physical media such as CDs and DVDs all over the place.
This clip is from The IT Crowd, a British sitcom that tapped into geek culture perhaps better than ever other television show ever made.
We see The IT Crowd‘s version of the notorious ad at the start of DVDs warning people not to partake in illegal file-sharing. After all, you wouldn’t steal a policeman’s helmet, take a crap in it, etc.
What’s amazing is that the authorities actually thought the original ad was going to work in putting people off pirating. This spoof version would have been more likely to work.
