The television remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show premiered last night, and it’s garnered mixed reviews online.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let’s Do the Time Warp Again, to give it its full title, is a literal remake, with pretty much the same storyline, songs, and characters.
Tim Curry, who played Frank N. Furter in the original, narrates, but he’s really not looking well after suffering a stroke in 2012.
According to most reviewers, the whole thing falls a little flat. There’s none of the excitement or electricity we all enjoyed in the original.
And for a musical that’s historically fun to be this boring is a travesty.
