The summer season of blockbusters has arrived, with Thor being the first really big movie of 2011. And judging by the reviews it’s at least worth a look, although it’s not without its faults.
This review from IGN should give most of you an idea of whether the Thor movie is going to be for you and/or your kids.
Whether Thor floats your boat or not is going to depend on a number of factors. Whether you like the actors playing the lead characters, whether you like Kenneth Branagh as a director, whether you have knowledge of Thor and his origin story.
Chris Hemsworth seems to be inspired casting, and both Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins are always classy. Couple that with the fact that I enjoy comic book movies more than almost any other genre and Thor is a must-see, for me at least.
