You’ve probably already seen those hilarious David Blaine parodies on YouTube, but did you know that the original concept was carried out by two LA theater performers called ThoseLilRabbits?

That’s right, they originally wrote the sketch to be performed live for a Groundlings Theatre production, but instead decided to shoot it on video. Little did they know it would be the start of their numerous funny web shorts to come.

Since their start on October 12th 2006, Mikey Day and Michael Naughton have collectively racked in 25 million YouTube views. Not bad for a couple of LA theater brats.

Rather than using their online promotion for other online endeavors, they instead encourage viewers to come see their shows in the Groundlings Theatre in Los Angeles. It is there that they originally met over two years ago.

This is the first, and best (if you ask me), David Blaine parody. This was the start of their “Street Magic” series. Don’t be fooled by other people onYouTube, there are only 3 official Street Magic videos so far, and they can all be seen on ThoseLilRabbit’s official website.
