Admit it, you were hoping for something cute and adorable this morning. And this YouTube video clip provides cute and adorable in spades.

The thing is, I’m not entirely sure what’s going on here. The cat and the parrot are clearly friends, or at least know of each other, but what is going on between them?

The cat looks unsure at first but soon relaxes when the parrot starts stroking him with his claws. It looks almost as though he’s scratching cat’s ears, which is obviously something the cat likes.

But then it gets weird, with the cat first sniffing and then nibbling the parrot’s claws. And the parrot doesn’t object. It’s like watching an interspecies porn video except it thankfully ends before the messy stuff begins.
