13 Reasons Why has proved to be controversial for a number of reasons, but Netflix clearly thinks it’s an important show for teenagers.
This video sees the What the Flick?! channel reviewing the first season of 13 Reasons Why. Which tells the story of a teenager who commits suicide, leaving tapes explaining her reasons for doing so.
The controversy stems from the notion that 13 Reasons Why could glamorize suicide. However, surely it’s better to broach the subject, helping teenagers reach out to their parents when they feel like life is getting on top of them.
