If you’re a resident of the UK or Eire, you’re in for a treat. Channel 4 has it’s own on demand player called 4oD which allows you to watch full episodes and movies for free.

So what’s available on 4oD? Well, just about anything you’ve ever seen on Channel 4. Movies like Shallow Hal and Cypher, as well as shows like Sugar Rush, Da Ali G Show, and more.

Almost any show aired in the last 30 days is completely free to watch or download. You can stream it instantly, or wait for it to download for better quality. Due to DRM restrictions, however, you are only able to view the shows for 48 hours after you download them.

Requirements

To use 4oD, you must have all of the following:

• A PC with XP or higher OS (sorry Mac users)
• Live in the UK or Ireland
• Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher
• Windows Media Player 10 or higher
• A broadband connection

Don’t bother if you’re not in the UK or Ireland. You may be able to install the software, but you’ll get an error message saying “You need to be within the UK or Republic of Ireland” every time you try to view a show.
