The billion dollar American Idol franchise is back with it’s 7th season, and it aims to be bigger than ever. If you don’t have cable or, heaven forbid, miss an episode, you may find yourself becoming one of those social outcasts around this time of the year.
But don’t worry too much, because you can still watch all of season 7 for free online.
This year a few changes were made. Contestants are now allowed to use an accompanying instrument (Canadian Idol and Australian Idol were already doing so). Also, contestants’ personal stories are now one of the primary focuses. If you’re one of those girls that got a little emotional last season, chances are it was only about Sanjaya’s hair.
What remains to be unchanged are the numerous product placement advertisements, the occasional celebrity mentors, and bad auditions. Oh, and Simon’s still an unsympathetic smart-ass.
James Lewis Horrible Audition
This has to be one of the worst auditions ever on American Idol. The man clearly doesn’t know how to sing. What amazes me is that he sounds like a normal guy when he talks but when he sings he becomes a total spaz.
