Try a stress test. Then you’ll get to know how fast your heart can go without actually reaching your maximum heart rate.
I was so pissed off when I felt like I could not possibly go any faster or do any more in that test, and then my GP told me that I hadn’t reached my maximum heart rate.
Still, it’s pretty cool to know that the ol’ ticker is an even stronger muscle that can go even faster than I realised.
Will I push it to the max? Ever? Yeah, not going to happen. I’m happy enough just knowing the potential.
